Question

Where do I find my HSA distribution credits on turbo tax? They do not show up under my tax breaks under deductions and credits.

I filled out the Form 8889. I am 70 years old and used HSA distributions to pay for medicare premiums, etc. Where can I find my tax break for the credits? So far I only see where Turbo Tax entered the distribution.

Your tax break is not paying tax on the distribution.   When you enter the amount from your Form 8889, you are reporting taxable income.  But when you mark the box to indicate you used all of the distributions on qualified medical expenses, the amount is subtracted out of your taxable income.  The amounts are not included in your taxable income number if spent on qualified expenses.
