Am I able to deduct a firearm, belt, uniform, cost of training/licensing, and anything else that is needed for a job as armed security? It is not my own company.

I read somewhere on here that you are able to by going to deductions -> employment expenses.
But when I go.. it's stating I need to be either..

Armed Forces Reservist
Qualified performing artist

fee-basis government employee

disabled and have impairment-related expenses

No.  Not on your federal return.  Employee related job expenses are not tax deductible for your federal return under current tax laws.  However, depending which state you live you may be able to claim your employee job related expenses.

Which state do you live in?  You can also see this as you walk through the steps in the state return.  If employee job related expenses are deductible for that state, you should be asked in the state section if you had any employee expenses.

There is no state tax and no deductions for Texas. If you don't qualify from the list you posted, those expenses are not deductible on federal either.
