Hello,

I moved to Canada in August 2023 and have Canadian income in 2023. Per the rules, I am considered non resident in Canada for tax purpose. Does Turbo tax help in filing for these returns using the full tax premium service or is it only for residents?

(I am a Permanent Resident of Canada)

No. Full Service doesn't do non-resident returns.

Helo,

I am a non resident of Canada in 2023 and also in 2022. I want to file Sec 216 for rental property income earned for 2023 in Canada . What Turbo tax product is applicable for me .  In 2022, I had used Turbo tax premier , however this year that does not apply and even Self employed product does not apply ( as I am not self employed). Its a residential property converted in rental property. Please advise.

Thanks ,

This year rental properties are included in our Self-employment software which is the one to use as the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) describes having rental properties as self-employment.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
