Did not receive NOA after submitting on NETFILE

Hi there. My friend filed his tax thru NETFILE and received a confirmation number. He did not receive a Notice of Assessment for 3 weeks now. He has an account with CRA and the status says "Your <strong> 2022 </strong> return was received." Does it mean CRA really received the tax return?

If you have Netfiled your return, received a confirmation code and received an email from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) saying they will process your return, your tax return is still being assessed. You should receive a Notice of Assessment (NOA) within 2 to 8 weeks. In this CRA link you can Get a copy of your notice of assessment.

This means CRA received your return but it has not been assessed, please refer to this CRA link for more detail: Return status
