I claim business use of home expenses and renegotiated my mortgage this year. Is the cost of the appraisal involved claimable as part of my business use of home? Where should I list it if so?

You can only claim expenses that are related to your business in some way, and if the expense is somehow related to your business, you can only claim the portion that relates to business use.
