Do I need to sign on copy of 1040?
I do my state tax return and it requires me to include form 1040 copy in the return. My question is that do i need to sign on 1040 return copy that I am required to send to my state?

Yes, if you are required to send a hardcopy of the 1040 it is best to sign it even if you efiled it- this certifies that you acknowledge the return.
