Federal file was rejected but State payment was set up for electronic payment.

Hello,

My Federal and subsequent State file for my in-laws were rejected due to a date of birth discrepancy. I set up the State payment through Turbo Tax. Will the State electronic payment selection remain and be processed even though the State file was rejected? My option now is to print both and mail them in but not sure about the payment I had already setup electronically.

Thanks.....CraigW

When a return is rejected, no information goes to the IRS or State.  Since your state return was rejected there would be no automatic payment. You should send in the payment with your mailed return.
