You will not need to your W2 to file an extension.

If you need more time to file your 2015 return, you can submit an extension request by Monday, April 18.

An IRS extension gives you until October 17 to file, but it won't give you until October to pay your taxes. Those are still due on April 18.

To request an extension, search for extend inside your TurboTax program. Then click "Jump to" link and follow the instructions.

You can also go the Easy Extension site to e-file your extension or download Form 4868 from the IRS, print it, fill it out, and mail it by no later than April 18. Complete instructions are on the printout.

The extension form asks what amount of taxes I've already paid.  How do I answer this without the W2?
