I own a small video production company and paid licensing fees for the use of music and video clips. Is that a biz expense in the 'taxes and licenses' section? Or misc?
This question is about under which category to enter a biz expense.
No matter which category you enter the licensing fees, It won't change your tax situation - they are still a valid expense. I suggest entering them as "Commissions" under "Other Common Business Expenses".
