Box 14 on the W-2 is a “catch-all” place used by employers to report many items that don’t have a box of their own. It is common for there to be multiple dollar amounts in this box. Ideally, Box 14 should contain a category for each dollar listed (example: $500.00 union dues).

To enter the information in TurboTax, enter a description in the first field, the dollar amount in the second field and then a category (using the drop down menu) in the third field in Box 14 of the onscreen W-2.  A screen shot has been included for your reference.

If you have more than one dollar figure to enter, you will do the same for each  dollar figure using the “add another row” link for your second (or third, etc) dollar amounts.  If you have questions about what each dollar amount represents, inquire with your employer for more detail.
