Employer incorrectly withheld EI from Severance. Unable to include EI amount in T4 info TurboTax: "EI premiums cannot be more than employment ins or employment inc" Help!

System does not allow to insert EI amount in TurboTax T4 and prompted with "EI premiums cannot be more than employment ins or employment inc". If system cannot take it how would my overpayment be reflected in line 450?

Are you entering the information from the T4 exactly or are you entering different amounts? If you are entering the amounts as you see them on the T4 and this is happening, you will need to contact your employer as the system is correctly indicating that the EI premiums cannot be higher. If you are trying to correct the amount by changing them yourself, the employer is the one who needs to make the correction to the T4. An overpayment of EI is not usually higher than the income.
