How do I start a new return for 2023? It defaults to 2021.

    Thank you. Why does this not happen automatically when I sign in? I remember this happening to me last year. Turbotax interface is severely lacking in this regard.

    Every year there is a new tax season software due to the changes made to credits, deductions and amounts by the Canada Revenue Agency. The easiest way is to always go to our turbotax.ca and click on File myself then TurboTax Online. This will always bring you to our latest tax year return.
