Question
I'm self-employed & work from my home in a strata. I've had to pay $4K for roof repairs but the roofs were other owners. Can I claim the cost under "maintainence"?
I work from home so I belirve I can claim maintainence expenses in the "home expenses" section. I live in a strata and the repairs weren't physically done on my unit, yet I still need to pay for repairs done on other owners' units as if it occured to mine. Can I claim those expenses (it totals around $4K and I have receipts)?
