Question

I'm told I can't use Netfile because "my province of self employment is not the same as my province of residence". I have no self-employment income this year. How to fix?

Last year I had self-employment income in Ontario - same province as my residence was and is. This year I havae no self-employment income and I get this error. How to fix?

If you are no longer self-employed, you would have to start your return from scratch in order to prevent the self-employment information from entering your 2021 return.

To start a completely brand new return, select “Start a New Return” from under “My Returns” in the top left corner. Then click on the "Create A Different Return" button.
