Question

I received long term disability from Manulife as I was off having surgery last - I had no work income just my benefit - I was told I don’t claim it ?

    If your long term disability benefits are from a wage replacement program associated with an employee benefits plan, these benefits are indeed tax free and do not need to be included anywhere on your return. Confirm that your income was zero when the warning appears as you do have zero income for tax purposes.
