As if Turbotax acts as an advisor in return for payment.

Accounting fees and the cost of income tax preparation software are only deductible in certain situations:

You have self-employment income or rental income from a property
You are an employee who receives Commission remuneration, and you have a completed T2200 Declaration of Conditions of Employment from your employer
