Should I to pay more to file as a couple after paying for the deluxe version? I never have before.

Did you go to turbotax.ca/activate to use your code before you started your returns? If you didn’t do this then your returns are not being done under your Deluxe package, and so they will be charged per return.

Also, if your return was upgraded, or additional services were added to the return, then you will be charged the difference between a Deluxe return and the upgrade/add-on. If you are preparing your return together wit a spouse, you will both be charged the same price.

I did exactly that, using the code on the card. That made me doubt myself, so l tried again and got locked out. This is far too complicated for me and I have been doing my own taxes as well as family members for 44 years! I think l will return it and not bother with turbo tax again.
