Tax return of a retired couple & splitting income. Sold primary residence of 50 yrs. One returns went through but the second one won't. How can I fix this?

It was their primary residence. Turtotax is asking for Residential Property Flipping. I don't know how to fix it. they are in their late 80s.

    @skeough8 I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

     

    You can't NETFILE a return for a deceased person. You need to print out and mail it, and the executor of the estate (or legal representative) needs to sign it.

    Hello, can you clarify what message you're seeing?

    Did you receive a "warning" message? If so, you can simply ignore the warning message and proceed to filing. You do not need to answer the question related to residential property flipping.

    I tried that and still got this message. I have a feeling I have tried too many times now & I will need to drop it off. The worst thing is one of them died in March & that's the one I'm having problems with so if I print it, I can't get them to sign it. It appears as if I'm in a jam.
