Turbotax says free. I see all over online the lawsuits in the states. I am in canada, on disability and my taxes are so simple a monkey could do them. Just need free

Keeps trying to update me to deluxe, $39.99 which is crazy.  How do I just file, free as advertised?  The only thing I have is medical expenses but it was 100% FREE when I did it on here before to enter them as its so simple.

    Yes, unfortunately as of last year you need to upgrade when you enter any medical expenses or donations. As you can see when you start your return it asks what you are going to claim and when you click on medical expenses it will tell you to use TurboTax Deluxe. 

    Why did I have to upgrade my TurboTax Online edition?
