TurboTax wants to charge me twice if I do my return and that of my spouse. Is this new for 2024?

This is not new for 2024. Filing your return at the same time as your spouse, which can be called a spousal return, has always been counted as two separate returns as they each need to be filed separately to the Canada Revenue Agency.

I used to buy turbotax premier and I used to pay around $100 and was able to file up to 12 returns. Di this change in 2024, we have to pay for each return $50 ?

@klama385 You will be charged for each return if you are using an online version. You may have bought a retail product or used a desktop version in the past.
