I'm a divorced father with custody of my child.  Last year he made about 7000 (he's 15).  He didn't file taxes and I can't find his T4.  Do i need to claim his income?

You would need to enter your son’s income on the Additional Dependant Information page as certain credits may be affected by his income, like the eligible dependant credit.

If you don’t have the T4 slip anymore, you can ask your son’s employer for another copy, or you can contact the CRA to get a copy.

If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281. If you are elsewhere, you can call 613-940-8495. This page has more ways to contact the CRA: Contact the Canada Revenue Agency
