Why do I need to pay $219.98 to report communal income when I don't need to report communal income?

Do you have a T3 slip on your return? If so, make that you have not entered any amounts in the box that says “Amount of communal income reported in box 26”.

If you have a business (self-employment), make sure you have answered NO to the question “Is this self-employment income from a communal organization…?” that is just above the Calculation of cost of goods sold section.
