Why spousal return costs me 49.99 when my wife has 0 income to report, I have t4 and self employement income

    For a spousal return, pricing for is based on the most complex of the two returns, as the software will optimize across both.  One option would be to file separately, and your wife might be eligible for a free return, however, this is not recommended as it wouldn't optimize your tax credits.  Hope that helps!
