That is a question for the lender.   We are here to answer income tax questions and help with the tax software.

 

However----you did not file "my" taxes----you filed a joint return with your spouse ---- and his Social Security disability was required to be entered on that joint return.

This is a question you must ask a lender. From a tax perspective you would be wise to file a joint return to receive the best tax advantage for your situation as you have indicated you are doing.
