Question

I have T5008 form with data (imported from CRA site) that is not propagating into my return.

I even edited one line to fake a $100k capital gain ... that had zero effect on my return (no change in net income)!

    Can you please clarify the T5008 if it was for being a trader or a investor?

    Found the problem after searching through Turbotax Support Discussions ...

    The imported T5508 did not include anything in the 'type of income' field.

    Set it to Capital Gains and problem solved.

    .

    Would be nice of Turbotax provided a warning.

     

    btw ... 

    Note: Needed to switch browser to Google Chrome as Turbotax site doesn't

    seem to work well with Firefox.]
