I have W-2 reported income of $78500 and IRA contributions of 4244. However TurboTax says my modified adjusted income is $131,140.  How can this be?

We cannot see your return on this forum. Review your 1040:

    • From the menu on the left, choose Tax Tools
    • Click on Tools
    • Choose View Tax Summary
    • Then, again from the left, click on Preview my 1040
    • Scroll to line 8a. This is your adjusted gross income. Modified adjusted gross income adds back tax exempt interest, for example.
