Question

Can I claim property taxes on my return as well as my Mother's if we split the bills? Or is only one of us is eligible?

    If you are referring to the Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit (OEPTC), then yes you can claim part of the property tax credit. If you shared and jointly owned a principal residence with one or more persons (other than your spouse or common-law partner), you can enter your share of the property tax you paid for the year.
