I claim my total amount of rent every year. I don't know where to claim it on my income tax.

I claim every year the amount of rent I have paid. Could you please show me where I put the amount in.

Please follow these steps to apply for the Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit (OEPTC):

1. On the left side of your screen, click the Provincial heading, then Get Started.

2. Continue to Your Provincial Profile for 2021 after clicking continue.

3. If anything pertains to you, check the boxes, then click continue.

4. Go to the next page If you think you might be eligible for the Ontario Trillium Benefit in 2022, check the boxes that apply to you.

5. Continue to payments for your Principal Residence, then enter the amount of rent you will pay in 2021, along with your address.
