    Can I claim professional financial management fees against short term capital gains

     

    No, you cannot. Investment management fees (aka advisor fees) are miscellaneous itemized deductions subject to the 2% floor of AGI and were eliminated by tax reform (the TCJA) for the 2018-2025 tax years.
