does a rental property that is vacant while being marketed for a tenant considered rented by turbotax?

    Yes, if the property was available to rent on a specific day, that day is considered a rental day in TurboTax.  Personal use days affect the calculations, but rented and not rented are treated the same if the property was available to rent.
