Question

I own 2 rental properties that I use as short term rentals. Should I file as a business or personal with rentals. I filed personal last year.

where the properties are located, a business license is not required

If "services" (such as maid service or meals) are not provided to the tenants and it is not owned by a corporation or partnership, it just reported as a rental on Schedule E of your personal tax return.

However, in most cases TurboTax is not set up correctly to report short-term rentals, so you may consider going to a good tax professional that is familiar with how to property report short-term rentals.
