I received 10,000.00 stock buyback in private stock. Cost factor is 0.00. How do I claim on taxes?

    you use the capital asset sale worksheet, 

    it's in the investment income section > stocks, crypto, other.........................> at the bottom the blue icon to add investments > then the skip import link > then other > continue

     

     

    (MODS) the present method for entering multiple 1099s (INT,DIV. B)  in the current desktop version is the stupidest method I have ever seen. Rather than being able to immediately add another entry, users are taken back to the start of the investment section.  What's wrong with "add another" like in previous years?
