My return is hung up because of $26 royalty income brought in with my Fidelity investment income. How can I resolve this issue?

It wants me to enter this information in Schedule C or Schedule E, but neigher seems to be appropriate.

Your best option is to set up a Schedule E Royalty Property to report this income to avoid self-employment taxes. If the broker failed to provide more information on the source of these royalties, you may need to request clarification.
