I sold a rental to ourv renter on January 1, 2025. Am I responsible for the real estate taxes of 2024?

This community is for income tax questions, not real estate tax questions.

You are most likely responsible for the real estate tax up to the date of the sale, and the purchaser would be responsible for the real estate tax from that date on. There should have been an allocation of real estate tax at the closing. Check with the lawyer who handled the closing for you.
