Question

Should I enter 366 in Fair Rental Days on Form 1040 Schedule E Part 1 2 A and B? Tax Year 2024 was a leap year, and therefore the Fair Rental Days was 366.

Since the Fair Rental Days was entered as 366, I asking why does it turbo tax says it needs to be fixed?

    It depends. If you use the Step-by-Step and indicate it was rented all year, there is no need to enter any days directly in the forms. This should eliminate your experience.

    • Search (upper right) > type rentals > Click the Jump to... link > Select Property Profile or Property Info
