Question

TurboTax Deluxe PC version doesn't allow a January expiration date on a credit card

I have arrived at the Federal E-File portion of our entertainment.

Everything is done, and I am entering my credit card info.

Name, Card number, security code? All OK.

BUT Expiration date is 01/27

And the scroll for Month ONLY GOES FROM 02 to 12.

THERE IS NO '01'

This is not a browser issue, this is YOUR software running on my Win 10 PC.

Manual Input should ALWAYS be available. Scrolling is for accessibility features, not to restrict input.

Input should ALWAYS be checked afterwardst anyway.

Scroll up.  The drop-down starts with 01.    Make sure your software is fully updated.

Well, let's start with 'every update failed.'

I have an entire doc of screenshots for today. And it's the third doc of those kinds of screenshots for this version of TurboTax.

Then, let's talk that when it failed at e-File payment, because of the incorrect month, the window it went back to, for corrections to the credit card, DID scroll up to '01.' So the edit object reloaded from a different library.

Finally, I've had to download and install "w_perrelsuperpatchIS_ttax_2024" twice in the last two months. Today's was esdversion 5.2.4.0, not sure what version was on March 24th.

Because all these failed downloads resulted in this error at the point of actual e-file. (See attached.)

So finally ground through this, that second SuperPatch and two reboots later.
Used this software for well over a decade, including at lest the prior four on this same PC.

    NEVER had these issues.

    NEVER will, either.

Also, here are two screen shots of that MONTH scroll for expiration date, before and after submitting the WRONG date because it was the ONLY date allowed. Here the Month will NOT scroll up to 01. I have to try 02, and submit it. It failed, as shown next.

But here, the edit object is loaded with the correct months, 01 to 12, so I can submit the correct expiration date. And the payment succeeds.

Money says these are two different versions of that scrolling edit object. Check your software. And this was BEFORE downloading and installing the latest esdversion of your SuperPatch.
