Question

When I try to enter my 1099-k that I received from Airbnb, it doesn't provide an option for third party transactions, only crypto, bonds, stocks, etc. How do I enter it?

Airbnb would likely report real estate rental income.  What version of TurboTax are you using?

In TurboTax Premium Online, report the IRS form 1099-K within the real estate activity reported on IRS Schedule E Supplemental Income and Loss.

On a Federal 1040 tax return, enter rental income, expense and assets by following these steps:

    • Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
    • Down the left side of the screen, click on Wages & income.
    • Click to the right of Rentals, Royalties, and Farm.
    • Click to the right of Rental Properties and Royalties.
    • At the screen Your 2024 rentals and royalties summary, click on the pencil icon.
    • At the screen Here's rental property info, select Add income to report rental income.
    • At the screen Select your type of income, select Form 1099-K.
