If I don't qualify for the stimulus check, do I qualify for the the tax credit?
we filed the 2019 tax married jointly with two depends age 7 and age 1, but the 2019 AGI is exceeding the income phase out threshold. Our 2018 AGI is qualify because we have lower income compares to 2019. If I had already filed the 2019 tax, I believe the stimulus check based on the 2019 file, am I correct? I understand the stimulus check is the advance tax credit, if our 2020 income definitely lower than 2019 and below the threshold for the stimulus. Do we qualify the full tax credit ($2400+ $500 + $500) tax credit when I file for the 2020 tax year in 2021? for example, if we will have $500 tax refund in 2020, do we expect to receive $500+ $3400 (tax credit) ? if we have owe $4000 tax, $4000 - $3400 = $600, that means we owe $600 tax to IRS? or is any income limitation for 2020? What if 2020 has more income than 2019 (even thought it's impassable), is the tax credit still apply to 2020? Thank you
