Lego Classes come under K-12 qualifying expenses

Can somebody please help to confirm if Enrolling and having Lego classes done for my kid would qualify under the "K-12 Education Credit and Subtraction Qualifying Expenses" for MN State

As long as the courses have an academic nature to them and are not taught by the child's sibling, parent, or grandparent they qualify.  If they are, for example, a Lego robotics class they would meet the qualifications.  Minnesota requires that the courses be "academic in nature".  Only the instructional portion of the fees qualifies for the credit.  

 

You cannot deduct supplies (the legos), room, board, or transportation.
