My wife only has 28 credits out of the required 40 credits of work required to qualify for social security and medicare health insurance. Is she eligible to receive 1/2 of my social security benefit when I begin to collect my SS benefits even though she does not have SS benefits? I have already met the 40 credits of work requirement.

When she turns age 65 would she also be eligible for medicare because I would have already signed up for medicare.  She is younger than me by 1/2 year.

If I dies before age 65, would she still receive SS and medicare benefits?
