Payments and taxes for freelance work in Canada as US citizen

I am about to work as a freelance consultant for a company in Canada while remaining based in the US.  How will that income be need to be reported on my US taxes?  Do Canadian companies file US 1099 forms?

    Taxation of the money that comes to you from a Canadian client will be the same a if it came from a US one.  Some Canadians send  1099's and some the Canadian equivalent.
