My husband owes back child support and has not worked in 5 years. I filed 2018 and 2019 joint tax return with an injured spouse form (with turbo tax) and received my refund with no problems. However I called the treasury offset line and they offset both my $1200 and my husbands $1200 for his back child support.. How are they able to take mine when I don't owe any debts.?How can they take my husbands when he didn't work and all taxes were allocated to me? Do I need to file an injured spouse form again? Thank You

His stimulus payment is seized due to his unpaid child support.  Whether or not he has income is not relevant.

For your stimulus payment - https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-payment-information-center

For security reasons, a letter about the Payment will be mailed to each recipient’s last known address within 15 days after the Payment is made. The letter will provide information on how the Payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the Payment.
