I just wanted to know If this could be a deductible on my taxes. So, I'm a 25 year old single guy. I currently live with my mother and she has section 8. Our rent went up because I'm making more money. I currently pay $1300 and of course I don't file as a dependent. Could I claim that I pay that much since I'm also on the lease of the apartment that we live on section 8.
