Stimulus Check Mistake

In 2018 I was claimed as a dependent on my mom's taxes. In 2019 taxes I claimed to be independent. When the first round of stimulus checks came, my mom's check was based off of her 2018 tax return (because she hadn't yet filed 2019 taxes) and mine was based on my 2019 tax return. So she received a stimulus check that totaled the amount for herself and one dependent, and I received a stimulus check also.

Does any of this money need to be returned to the IRS?

Long after she filed her 2019 taxes, the third round of stimulus checks came in and the same thing happened, she received a stimulus check that provided an amount for her and one dependent. I received one also.

Which of us needs to return money, if at all?

No.  You both can keep it.
