Will I receive a stimulus check?

My parents claimed me as a dependent in 2018 and they have not done their 2019 taxes and don't plant to for a while. However, I claimed myself as a independent on my 2019 taxes. Am I eligible or is my parents 2018 tax return going to over ride mine? I'm worried because I filled my taxes and gave the irs my bank account and they took money out rather than putting the stimulus check in today. I filled my taxes 5 days ago if that makes a difference. The irs tool isn't helping me either. It locked me out for 24 hours for refreshing too much. it too late for them to not claim a dependent for 2019?

suggest not checking the website more frequently than every 25 hours to avoid the lockout.

if your 2019 tax return is still PROCESSING, that is the issue.   give it 2-3 weeks after the tax return is completed processed.. Processing of the 2019 tax return normally takes 2-3 weeks.

That you parents marked you as dependent in 2018 probably won't matter

worst case scenario: you will have the opportunity to get the stimulus as part of your 2020 tax return next year, but that is worst case scenario,.

    Patience!
