Why can I not print draft 2021 T1 returns ?

Unfortunately, the option to print a tax return becomes visible only after you pay for that specific return. After paying, the FILE menu lists the available print options. TurboTax Free users don’t have to pay to print a tax return, but will still need to go through the payment section to reach the print option.

Thank you for the reply. In the interim, I have received an email from Turbotax Canada advising that printing (even a draft) not available until late February. I have waited patiently ... updated some info and ... wait for it still cannot print oh and all the data I had carried forward from 2020 and input for 2021 has now disappeared.

what a wonderful software.

Note I paid in full for the software the first week of January, and have been using Turbotax and its predecessor versions for about 20 years.

this will be my last.
