Question

1099-R state tax witholding box 14

I enter state tax witheld in box 14 of $123 and the gross distribution of $248 in box 16 with info in box 15 and Turbo Tax will not take it .....gives error that box 14 is higher than 16.....not true

Please go back to that entry screen and make sure there was no mis-entry, such as a decimal point where there shouldn't be. 

If you uploaded the 1099-R, delete it and then type it in.
