Question

Can Turbotax account for nominee distribution to offset 1099-INT come that belongs to another person. Last year it did, but it no longer asks about this.

You have to select that you need to make an adjustment. Edit your form.

When I go to edit the 1099-INT there is no question that ask sif any unusual situations apply.

You have to actually edit the 1099-INT. Go back through where the numbers are entered, continue, review, continue, then select. Here is the online version.

Thank you. The problem was the software would not ask about the special situations when I selected myself as owning the account. When I changed it to "both of us" then it allowed me to provide the additional information.
