Entering contributions to a defined benefit plan (not 401k, not self employed)

I filed my taxes and it dawned on me that I entered my retirement plan contributions (a defined benefit plan, NOT a 401k) as traditional IRA contributions. How do I amend this?

You will have to file an amended return.  Do not file an amended return until (and unless) your return has been accepted and you received any refund you might be expecting.  To amend yor tax return see:  How do I amend my federal tax return for this year?
