Question

I accidently put a state in box 15 on my 1099-R form

How can i remove it?

In TurboTax Online, return to the IRS form 1099-R by following these steps:

 

  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
  • Down the left side of the screen, click on Wages & income.
  • Click the down arrow to the right of Retirement Plans Social Security.
  • Click to the right of IRA 401K Pension Plan Withdrawals.
  • Select the pencil icon to the right.

 

At the screen Enter your 1099-R details, delete the entry or change the state to blank.
